Huawei Introduces the Luna2000-215 Series ESS: A New Era for Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage
In 2023, electricity prices reached record highs in France, with rates ranging from €15.51 to €23.31 per MWh for businesses. In response to this increase, Huawei Digital Power is launching the Luna2000-215 Series, an energy storage solution designed for companies producing solar energy. It helps reduce their dependence on the power grid, lower electricity bills, and accelerate their transition to renewable energy.
Storage Capacity of 215 kWh and 100% Depth of Discharge
With a capacity of 215 kWh, the Luna2000-215 Series battery can be expanded up to 4,300 kWh by combining up to 20 units. Its 100% depth of discharge ensures full utilization of stored energy without compromising the lifespan or the performance.
Hybrid Cooling for Exceptional Resistance to Extreme Temperatures
The hybrid cooling system (air and liquid) guarantees optimal performance in temperature ranges from -30°C to +55°C, making it ideal for demanding industrial environments. Additionally, Huawei brings its expertise in component protection and safety with four layers of protection at the cell, pack, system and environmental levels.
91.3% Energy Efficiency and 15-Year Lifespan
With an efficiency rate of 91.3% and a 15-year lifespan, the Luna2000-215 Series retains 60% of its capacity after 15 years of use. This offers an excellent balance between efficiency, longevity, and cost reduction.
Enhanced Safety and Thermal Runaway Management
Safety is ensured through continuous temperature monitoring of each cell and an autonomous fire extinguisher in case of overheating. Four levels of protection (cells, packs, system, environment) reduce risks and guarantee enhanced security.
