Who is organising ?
With 350 events held worldwide, either for professionals and/or dedicated to general public, GL events Exhibitions developped an expertise with no equivalent in the field of events organisation.
"Think Green" by GL Events
Implemented since 2009 by the Sustainable Development Mission, associated with correspondants inside of each career of the group, this program has permitted the training of teams to eco-conception, throwing eco-events or responsible buying : innovation for floor carpets, stands concieved with eco-processes, lighting, work on logistic process and moving, but also a thought-through building management with the ISO 14001 certification project for french hosting sites.
In order to accompagny these process and to drag other actors in these actions to reduce environmental impact, the group has signed in September of 2011 a framework agreement with the ADEME (Agency for environment and energy management).
If GL Events has chosen to act in priority in the environmental pilar of their Societal company responsibility, various actions have also been engaged in social matters, especially with the signature of the Diversity Charter, and the adhesion to the network "IMS Entreprendre pour la Cité Rhône-Alpes".
A support on societal issues
The group is an active partner of major sustainable development manifestation in France (General State for social and united economy, Comité 21, Diversity Trophees, Produrable). They also support many educative, sportive or Fair Trade projects. In order to reinforce discussion with its stakeholders, GL Events organised last September the first edition of the "Sustainable days", a day of training and exchanges on sustainable development gathering an open audience (employees, directors, providers, institutionals, partners, clients).
GL Events expects that way to better integrate environmental and social issues to the development of their activity, to anticipate society's evolutions, meet the needs of their stakeholders, and keep their position of major actor in the event sector.
